The Cox-Deasy Cottage

The Historic Mobile Preservation Society owns and manages the Cox-Deasy Cottage, a circa 1850 Gulf Coast Cottage, located just steps from the Historic Oakleigh House and the Minnie Mitchell Archives. Built by George Cox, a brick mason, this is a significant example of architecture that is unique to the Gulf Coast. The cottage is the only example of this architecture that is open to the public.
