The Ezell House

407 Conti St, Mobile AL, 36602

The Historic Mobile Preservation Society invites and encourages everyone to join us on Thursday, October 20, 2022 for the return of our annual Columns & Cocktails fundraiser. Our members and numerous donors are the heart of our organization, making it possible for us to pursue our continued goal of preserving our city's rich history through education, advocacy, and heritage tourism.

The historic venue selected to house this year's Columns & Cocktails is the beautiful Ezell House. The circa 1867 home, was selected because it exemplifies the successful adaptive reuse of a historic property. Located at 407 Conti St, the house was built by Mobile Mayor Martin Horst. The Horst family owned the home until 1923, followed by the Zoghby and Naman families until 1978. Locals may remember the property as Bernard's Restaurant, with a circular moongate and live Jazz music in the evenings. The former home and restaurant is now owned by the Ezell family and is used as a lovely event rental space and a law office.

Columns & Cocktails 2022 will have an assortment of food and entertainment for everyone. The event will also feature a silent auction and, of course,  cocktails! As you can see, we are very excited about this year's venue and are calling on you to make Columns and Cocktails 2022 our most successful benefit to date. We look forward to seeing you all there!
