Mobile Historic Homes Tour
Our doors are always open to you!
The 2010 Mobile Historic Homes Tour was a resounding success thanks to our gracious homeowners, our sponsors, the efforts of Homes Tour chairperson, Rhonda Davis and her group of volunteers, and the Board of the Historic Mobile Preservation Society.
The 2010 Mobile Historic Homes Tour featured six outstanding homes in the spectacular Ashland Place Historic District. The homes on the tour ranged from a grand 1908 Georgian Revival to a lovely raised 1950s home. The focus of the tour was on how contemporary families live in homes in Mobile's historic districts. The Oakleigh Historic Complex and Ashland Place United Methodist Church were also open as part of the tour.
To round-out the 2010 Mobile Historic Homes Tour experience tour-goers had the opportunity to attend several supporting events including: afternoon tea at several of Mobile's historic house museums, a tour of the historic Church Street Graveyard, and a wonderful presentation from architect L. Craig Roberts featuring Mobile's rich architectural history at the Ben May Main Library.
